Get Summer Ready with SculpSure Body Contouring

SculpSure Body Contouring

This summer you’ve told yourself you’re going to wow everyone with your new look. But there’s one problem: all the dieting and exercising didn’t melt the fat on certain areas of your body. It’s as if your body holds onto those pockets of fat no matter how much you exercise or diet.

Don’t blame yourself just yet, because diet and exercise can’t spot reduce fat. As a matter of fact, it’s your genes that dictate where and how much fat gets stored. However, this doesn’t mean you should hide your body when you go to the beach.

At the Institute for Health Management Aesthetics, we use an FDA-approved diode laser (SculpSure®) that has the ability to do what cutting calories and working out can’t: spot-reduce fat!

So if you want to learn more about this noninvasive, painless procedure that can melt off fat from your problem areas, read on. We put together a short guide on everything you need to know before you make a decision.

How SculpSure differs from other procedures

First and foremost, let’s talk about where SculpSure fits among other popular procedures that target fat loss. Unlike liposuction and tummy tucks, both of which are effective at removing fat from unwanted areas, SculpSure doesn’t have any risks associated with surgery, nor does it require anesthesia or downtime.

The only downside to SculpSure is that you need to be close to your ideal weight and not have a BMI over 25. Liposuction and tummy tucks can be performed on patients who have a BMI over 30.

An inside peek at a SculpSure body contouring session

During the session, you’ll lay down while professionals apply four applicators on your problem area. Then the laser heats up the fat cells underneath the dermis, but you won’t have to worry about any discomfort. A cooling device will be used at the same time to prevent overheating the skin.

The session lasts about 25 minutes, and there’s no pain involved, nor are there any anesthetics and painkillers. You can even listen to music, check your email on your phone, or catch up with what’s happening on social media during the procedure.

After the procedure, you can go about your daily life, since there’s zero downtime involved.

The SculpSure technology explained

You might be wondering how a laser can help you lose those unflattering fat bulges, and you probably want to know what happens after you finish SculpSure session. Will the fat come back?

SculpSure works by increasing your body’s natural fat-burning system (lipolysis) and eliminating the fat cells via your lymphatic system. And since the fat cells are gone for good, the bulges caused by those fat cells will never come back.

An added bonus is the collagen-boosting properties of the laser. Not only does it get rid of your problematic fat cells, but it will also make you look more youthful.

What results you can expect after using SculpSure

You need to wait 6-12 weeks to achieve optimal results. This technology is not meant to help you lose weight. It’s more geared toward reducing fat on specific problem areas that don’t slim down after you follow a healthy diet.
